Hasbrouck Heights mayor and council approve consent agenda, adjourn Sine Die meeting

Mayor Ron Kistner declared the Sine Die meeting of the Hasbrouck Heights mayor and council in session Jan. 1, 2026, at the council chambers at 320 Boulevard.
The meeting opened with roll call from Deputy Municipal Clerk Anne Michelle Sery, who recorded Mayor Ron Kistner and council members Joseph Samperi, Bobby Bing, Susan McGuire, Charlotte Sodora and Christopher Blum as present; Councilman Michael Sickels was absent. Kistner led the Salute to the Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance, and Rabbi Shlomie Segelman of the Chabad of Hasbrouck Heights delivered an invocation.
The council first approved minutes from the Dec. 16, 2025 work and regular session. Councilman Bobby Bing moved to approve the minutes; Councilwoman Susan McGuire seconded. The motion was unanimously carried.
Deputy Clerk Anne Michelle Sery then read the consent agenda, listing items 239 through 241: authorization for an interfund transfer (239), a budget appropriation transfer (240), and authorization to transfer current taxes received to taxes overpaid (241). Councilwoman Susan McGuire moved to adopt the consent agenda; Councilman Joseph Samperi seconded. The motion was unanimously carried.
Mayor Kistner asked to open the public session for comment; Councilman Bobby Bing moved and Councilwoman Charlotte Sodora seconded. No members of the public spoke, and Councilman Bing moved to close the public session; Councilwoman Susan McGuire seconded. Both motions were unanimously carried.
The mayor then asked for a motion to adjourn. Councilwoman Susan McGuire moved to adjourn, Councilwoman Charlotte Sodora seconded, and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote. Deputy Municipal Clerk Anne Michelle Sery certified that the minutes represent a true account of the Sine Die meeting.
The meeting notice and certification stated that adequate notice was given under the Open Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975): notice to members of the council was made on Nov. 25, 2025, and transmitted to The Record and The Herald News on Dec. 11, 2025.
No ordinances, resolutions, presentations, or public speakers were recorded during the session. The council completed routine procedural business and adjourned.
