City officials said Brooktree currently is charged $1,075 per month for sewer flow to Harwood. Marc Mosser, representing the fire department and present at the meeting, discussed his exterior inspection of Brooktree infrastructure but did not commit the fire department to a funding role. Council members did not approve any emergency payment during the Jan. 7 meeting and left the matter open pending a formal agreement and documentation from the association.
The council’s response leaves financial responsibility for the immediate repair unresolved; Brooktree residents are expected to return with a proposed contract amendment or new agreement for council consideration at a future meeting. The council did not set a timeline for when it would review a submitted agreement.
