Assistant City Manager Chris Weber presented the application and attorney Chris Tower explained that the redevelopment condition includes a $75,000 investment commitment and plans to add a hot dog stand operation to the restaurant. Mayor Pro-Tem Johnna Balk moved to approve the resolution and Councilmember Maria Taylor seconded the motion. The council’s roll call vote was 4-0 in favor (Balk, LaRussa, Parkins, Taylor).
The approval followed routine consent- and regular-agenda votes earlier in the meeting, both carried unanimously. The council recorded no public opposition during the public comment period on the liquor-license item.
The action authorizes the city clerk and administration to complete the ministerial steps necessary to issue the redevelopment liquor license as resolved by the council. The council did not specify additional conditions beyond the investment requirement described by the applicant’s attorney.
