Hasbrouck Heights council unanimously approves consent agenda including shared services deal and ARRIVE Together MOU

At its Dec. 16 regular meeting the Hasbrouck Heights Mayor and Council unanimously approved a broad consent agenda covering personnel, contracts and interlocal agreements.
Acting Borough Clerk Michelle Sery read the consent agenda items, and the council voted to approve resolutions including: participation in the ARRIVE Together program via an MOU with Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.; a uniform shared services agreement with the Borough of Teterboro for fire and ambulance protection services commencing Jan. 1, 2026; the award of group dental and vision benefits to Delta Dental; and a contract awarding demolition of two salt-shed structures in town. The agenda also included authorization to abate property maintenance violations at 311 Washington Place and to impose municipal liens for abatement costs.
The motions were made and seconded as recorded: the consent agenda was moved by Councilman Joseph Samperi, seconded by Councilwoman Susan McGuire, and carried unanimously. Earlier, appointments for police dispatchers (RES No. 233) were moved by Councilwoman McGuire, seconded by Councilman Samperi and likewise carried.
No roll-call tallies were read into the record beyond the unanimous carry of the motions. Mayor Ron Kistner acknowledged the inclusion of police department MOUs in the consent agenda and expressed gratitude for the department uring closing remarks.
