Public Works Director Michael Beall told the Council that work on the meadow path should be completed while ground conditions are frozen to avoid spring delays. The plan is to install a second, six-foot-wide path around the opposite side of the meadow using engineered wood fiber (EWF) mulch; members of the Sustainability Committee requested the addition.
Director Beall said completing the work in January allows the Town to secure contractors before the busy spring season. The minutes list the estimated project cost as $4,000–$5,000 and note Council support for proceeding; no formal dollar appropriation vote is recorded in the minutes.
