Commissioner (speaker 7) moved to defer the District 1 application CU2025‑12 and Commissioner (speaker 6) seconded; the motion passed on a roll‑call vote with Dean, McLaughlin, Kowalski, Patuck (Patak) and Kimberly recorded as voting "Aye." The clerk announced the case will be heard by the Planning Commission on June 18, 2026.
Director Sherry, who noted the request came from the applicant, told the commission that staff received an extension request earlier in the week: "we received the request to extend it to the June planning commission meeting," she said. The chair told members of the public that anyone who came to speak on the matter may either save their comments for the June public hearing or address the commission during the citizen comment portion of tonight's meeting.
No substantive testimony on the Sports Park's merits was taken at this session; the deferral was a procedural action at the applicants' request. The change was entered into the record so the public and the Board of Supervisors will see the updated schedule.
