Glendo council approves building permits, allocates Wyoming Community Gas funds and amends event date

At its Jan. 21 meeting the Glendo Town Council approved two building permits, allocated Wyoming Community Gas funds for airport maintenance, and made a scheduling change for the town’s annual Glendo Dayz event.
Council approved the Lowry building permit (excluding an additional building) on a motion by Kelly Jones and approved the Maxwell building permit on a separate motion by Jeston Cundall; both motions carried by voice vote. Town Clerk/Treasurer Kelsey Crabtree told the council that $3,508.48 from Wyoming Community Gas should be allocated; Councilmember Jeston Cundall moved to allocate the funds for grounds maintenance and improvements at the local airport and the motion carried.
The council discussed moving Glendo Dayz to June 28; minutes record an amendment on Feb. 11, 2026, correcting the date to June 27. Tresha Cancino of the Platte County Chamber asked where organizers should plan the Tour de Platte finish; council minutes record that the council initially concluded to end the ride at the airport but the Feb. 11 amendment clarifies that no final decision had been made and additional information was requested.
