Glendo council approves November treasurer’s report and December claims; clerk will report on fire department budget

The Town of Glendo council unanimously approved the November 2025 treasurer’s report and the December 2025 claims at a special meeting on Dec. 19 at Town Hall.

Council Member Kelly Jones moved to approve the November treasurer’s report; Council Member Jeston Cundall seconded and the motion carried with all present voting in favor. Council Member Heather Schoning, serving as mayor pro tem for the meeting, asked about the current standing of the town’s Fire Department under budget changes adopted in July. Town Clerk Kelsey Crabtree said she will provide a report on the Fire Department’s finances and standing at the council’s next regular meeting.

During review of the December claims, Council Member Kelly Jones questioned a payment to the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Town Clerk Kelsey Crabtree clarified that the expense was a municipal clerk membership fee that provides training for clerks. The council also confirmed that funds from Wyoming Community Gas previously approved by the council were used for Christmas decorations, and Jones confirmed that the Rodent Control invoice covered all work completed. The council discussed well maintenance and generators but no formal action on those items was recorded.

Jones moved to approve the December claims; Cundall seconded. With Mayor Susan Juschka present by phone and Council Members Jeston Cundall, Kelly Jones and Heather Schoning in chamber, the motion passed unanimously.

Council Member Jeston Cundall moved to adjourn the special meeting; Kelly Jones seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
