Residents press council on Lazy Pants Loop zoning and towing; special meeting set for Dec. 17

Resident Andrew Ebel pressed the Town of Glendo council on Dec. 10 for clarification about the Treasurer’s Report and current zoning, saying 156 Lazy Pants Loop appears to be a duplex and that the lots he bought were once zoned commercial and later industrial. Mayor Susan Juschka and Mayor Pro Tem Heather Schoning told Ebel that town zoning is R-1 residential, that the structure at 156 Lazy Pants Loop was approved as a single-family residence and that the lots in question were never rezoned.
Clerk/Treasurer Kelsey Crabtree reported ongoing IT problems and partial phone outages; an IT contractor was scheduled to resolve the issues the following day. Separately, resident Allen Haygood asked when the town would grade and restore his property and return vehicles that were towed after unsuccessful attempts to clear the town right-of-way so the water service line could be located; Haygood agreed to meet with Town Attorney Eric Jones to pursue a resolution.
In other business, the council scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. to approve claims and the Treasurer’s Report. Town Attorney Eric Jones said he had received a document regarding Ms. Joelsen but had not yet had a chance to read it and said further handbook updates would be addressed in a workshop next month.
The council took no formal action on rezoning or the property-restoration requests at this meeting; residents were directed to follow up with town staff and the attorney for case-specific resolution.
