Ada County awards $314,876 contract for sheriff's building controls upgrade; records-remodel bid tabled to July 14

The Ada County Board of Commissioners voted July 7 to award a contract to ATS Inland Northwest for upgrades to the Ada County Sheriff's Office Field Services Building controls, accepting procurement staff's recommendation and approving the award by voice vote.

Procurement staff presented a recommendation letter dated July 7, 2026, identifying ATS Inland Northwest as the lowest responsive bidder for bid 26052 with a proposed contract amount of $314,876. Josh Brown, who presented procurement's findings, said the evaluation group recommended the award after reviewing the submitted bids.

Staff noted one very low bid from a firm doing business as Patriot Floors that appeared to be a subcontractor offer and said they may return next week recommending withdrawal of that bid. Commissioners voted to table the records-remodel award to the board's July 14, 2026 open business meeting to allow additional review.
