Warrensburg Arts Commission approves $1,500 grant and $64.99 event table; tables photo contest revamp

The Warrensburg Arts Commission approved several routine and programmatic items at its Feb. 17 meeting, including a $1,500 Community Arts grant to the Retrograde Charitable Toy and Video Game Museum and the purchase of an eight‑foot folding event table for $64.99.

Liz Coleman moved to approve the Retrograde Charitable Toy and Video Game Museum grant request for $1,500 to purchase a mixer to support live performances; Maya Kucij seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioners did not record a roll‑call tally in the minutes beyond noting unanimous approval.

The commission also discussed three table options for community events, prioritized price and color and approved purchase of the cheapest option (an eight‑foot black folding table) from Walmart for $64.99. Sue Kraus moved to approve and Maya Kucij seconded; the motion passed unanimously.

Earlier in the meeting commissioners approved the agenda (moved by Woods Prael, seconded by Sue Kraus) and the minutes (moved by Sue Kraus, seconded by Woods Prael), both without discussion, and welcomed newly introduced Commissioner Woods Prael. The commission tabled discussion of revamping the Budget Book photo contest until the March meeting; Allison Robbins will coordinate with Sue Kraus and absent commissioner Melanie Johnson to prepare a proposal.

No formal disputes or contested votes were recorded. The commission scheduled its next meeting for March 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Visitors Center and adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
