Council adopts four ordinances, approves $1,000 donation and confirms Arts Commission appointment

The Warrensburg City Council on Feb. 9 moved through a package of routine and substantive items, unanimously adopting four ordinances, approving a charitable donation and confirming a mayoral board appointment.
Ordinances adopted by roll call were: • Ordinance No. 6007: Amendment to Chapter 27 regarding duplex and mixed multifamily developments (approved on motion by Latare). • Ordinance No. 6008: Rezoning 622 Laurel Street from LI to R2 (approved on motion by Jones). • Ordinance No. 6009: Rezoning 624 Laurel Street from LI to R2 (approved on motion by Jones). • Ordinance No. 6010: Rezoning portion of 1035 S. Maguire Street from R3 to GB (approved on motion by Jones).
The council also approved Resolution No. 2327, a $1,000 donation from the Stevenson Fund to The Food Center to purchase meat and eggs for distribution to families; Jones moved approval. Mayor Uhler recommended and the council confirmed Woods Prael as a business representative on the Arts Commission to fill an unexpired term through Oct. 2027; Latare moved approval. All recorded votes were Yes: Kushner, Osborne, Latare, Jones, Uhler.
The items were taken after Planning & Zoning recommendations and staff reports; no public comments were recorded on these items at the Feb. 9 hearing. The council adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
