Walkersville PTA cleared to hold 'park play date' Aug. 18 at Community Park

Newman estimated "30 to 40, maybe 50" attendees and said the PTA would bring a pop-up tent, ice pops and a cooler. A board member confirmed the group would not be using the pavilion and the board moved and approved the park use request.
The approval was recorded as a voice vote with no opposition noted. The PTA was asked to provide names for the minutes and Newman provided her address and affiliation on the record. The board did not attach special conditions beyond standard site coordination; the PTA will coordinate logistics with parks staff as needed.
