Anna council adopts FY2025 permanent appropriations and approves 2025 sidewalks project as emergencies

Ken Aselage moved to suspend the rules for Resolution 25-958; Riley Schumpert seconded. Aselage then moved to adopt the resolution, seconded by Kristin Johnson. A roll-call vote followed and was recorded as All yeas. Resolution 25-960 was taken up similarly: Aselage moved to suspend the rules, Mark Pulfer seconded, and Aselage moved to adopt the resolution with Schumpert seconding; the roll-call vote was recorded as All yeas. Both resolutions were declared emergency measures and were adopted on the same night.
Council also introduced Resolution 25-959, a first reading to approve creation and participation in the Northern Shelby County Joint Ambulance District. No final action on 25-959 was recorded at this meeting; the item remains at first reading.
Fiscal and procedural approvals taken together set the village’s spending framework for 2025 and put the accepted sidewalk project under contract terms that, because of the emergency declarations, may proceed more quickly than under standard notice schedules. The clerk’s record shows the meeting was conducted in compliance with Amended Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. The council adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
