Lebanon Township’s governing body approved a broad set of resolutions and contract awards on Aug. 20 covering budget updates, capital purchases, public‑works contracts and grant applications.
Finance and budget items: Resolutions 120–125 inserted County of Somerset funds totaling small awards ($700–$2,800) into the 2025 budget for Distracted Driver and DWI enforcement programs and Safe Passage enforcement. Resolution 126 raised the local public bid threshold to $53,000 and the quote threshold to $7,950 effective July 1, 2025, pursuant to state adjustments. Resolution 127 extended the third‑quarter tax grace period to Aug. 29, 2025, after a delayed certified tax rate mailing.
Contracts and procurement: The committee awarded an administration services contract for police extra‑duty details to Hart Halsey LLC dba Extra Duty Solutions (Res.131). A 'non‑fair and open' purchase for a mobile message sign board was awarded to Certified Speedometer Service, Inc. ($19,500; Res.132). Tax and cash management: A series of refunds and redemptions were approved by unanimous vote, including a $164.55 refund resulting from a tax‑sale computer error (Res.142), a $4,224.28 overpayment refund (Res.143), redemption payment of $64,840.27 to a lienholder (Res.144), a $2,259.49 duplicate payment refund (Res.145), and the rescission of an earlier refund resolution to instead credit the 3rd quarter (Res.146).
