Mayor Lee updates High Bridge council on roads, water work, recycling center and community events

At the start of the Sept. 14 High Bridge Borough Council meeting, Mayor Michele Lee gave a run-through of recent and planned local projects and community items. She told the council and attendees the borough had recently completed paving work and is planning water pipe replacements and gas piping work.
Mayor Lee said the new recycling center on Dewey Avenue is open, leaf pickup was being scheduled and the Commons is open; she noted council consideration of bathroom facilities at the Commons. She also announced that the 1 Main Street property had been sold, shared Transit Village information, and mentioned an upcoming Saturday 'grounds for arts' event.
The updates were delivered as information to the council and public; no formal votes were required on the matters Mayor Lee listed during the meeting.
