The Warren Hills Regional Board of Education on March 24 approved the first read of several policy and regulation revisions including P&R 1552 (Sexual Harassment - Staff), P&R 2530 (Resource Materials) and P&R 2535 (Library Materials). The Education, Policy & Technology Committee had discussed these items in advance.
The board also affirmed administrative decisions on designated HIB (harassment, intimidation and bullying) cases listed on the agenda, approved several revisions to the 2025–2026 school-year calendar that assign specific make-up days in June 2026, and adopted the 2026–2027 school-year calendar. Approved field trips included district transportation for MD/AU classes to Lifetown, participation in regional tournaments and college visits for student groups; individual trip costs and transportation details were listed on the agenda.
The motions were presented by committee chair Lisa Marshall and carried by board vote as recorded on the agenda. One vote-tally line in the minutes appears formatted ambiguously for an item under this section; the board-approved motions are recorded as adopted in the meeting minutes and the administration will publish the updated policies and calendar items once finalized.
