The Port Chester Planning Commission on July 29 approved a site-plan redevelopment for 44 Broad Street, a 15-story project proposed by Broad Street Owner LLC that will include 280 residential units, about 8,700 square feet of ground-level commercial space and 271 self-parking spaces.
Attorney Brian Sensibaugh of Zarin & Steinmetz and project representative Kevin Leahey told the commission they believed a complete administrative record had been made and that consultants reported no outstanding technical issues. No members of the public spoke for or against the application during the reopened public hearing.
After discussion the commission voted to close the public hearing and approve the site-plan resolution. The motion to approve was made by Commissioner Passarelli and seconded by Commissioner Candelaria; the resolution passed on roll call.
The decision follows routine review by planning staff and the project's consultants; the commission's approval authorizes the applicant to proceed to the next permitting and construction steps required by Village processes. The commission did not record additional conditions beyond those placed in the adopted resolution.
The project team and applicants may be expected to coordinate with village permitting staff and outside consultants for final engineering and building permits; the commission placed no additional public-comment continuances on this item.
