The Warren Hills Regional Board of Education on Feb. 17 approved a slate of personnel actions recommended by Superintendent Earl C. Clymer III, including new hires, coaching appointments and conference travel.
Molly Fraumeni, board member and chair of the Personnel & Student Activities Committee, moved to accept the superintendent’s recommendations for motions I.1 through I.3; Lisa Marshall seconded the motion. The board approved a range of personnel items that included hiring Miranda D’Onofrio as a paraprofessional at $25.97 per hour (pro-rated, pending required documents) and rescinding the appointment of Chelsea Swick as assistant spring track and field coach.
The board approved several teachers’ degree/step movements reflected on the salary guide (for example, Meredith Borrelli and Christine Haffling), the appointment of substitute teachers at $130 per day (Eric Renfors and Christopher Haytaian, pending required documents), and multiple coaching stipends for fall and spring sports and activities (for example, head and assistant coaches for field hockey, cross country, soccer, cheer, volleyball, tennis and marching band) with amounts and tier/step designations listed in the agenda.
Summer staffing approvals included two periods of summer weight-room supervision for Patrick Kablis and Kenneth Kurpat at $47 per hour with specified date ranges and hour caps, and the board approved Glenn Mayer as a volunteer for the golf program pending required documentation.
Administrators also approved travel and conference requests for district staff, including registrations for the NJASL/NJLA Annual Conference in Atlantic City, an AP Institute at Rutgers, workshops on instructional coaching and young adult literature, and state DOE information sessions; individual costs and dates were included on the agenda.
The board concluded the personnel agenda items as part of its regular action items; motions were presented and accepted during the public session.
