Council approved a motion to begin the business‑license relocation process under City Code §12‑4 for Wildcat Investments LLC (doing business as Jimmy John's, 126 N. College Street) and to set a hearing before the Council not sooner than 10 days from the meeting. Staff reported the business has a repeated history of falling behind on remitting sales tax and license fees and that prior actions led to short‑term compliance that lapsed.
Staff noted the city had not received payment to date and recommended a hearing to give the owner an opportunity to explain and remit delinquent amounts. The municipal attorney confirmed that if the owner becomes compliant before the hearing the hearing would be canceled. Council approved the request and directed staff to schedule a hearing and continue outreach to the business owner.
