Sudlersville commissioners voted March 4 to adopt an Economic Development Strategy presented earlier by John Stover & Associates and instructed the Town Clerk to coordinate with county and state partners to advance the plan.
Commissioner Haag moved to adopt the strategy; Commissioner Dilks seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote. Presenters from John Stover & Associates (Leslie Gray and Aaron King) were credited in the minutes for the plan that the commissioners approved.
The board directed the Town Clerk to share the adoption with Heather Tinelli, QAC Director of Economic and Tourism Development, and to pursue participation in the state’s Sustainable Communities program through the Department of Housing and Community Development. Commissioners also discussed the town’s new website and Facebook presence—developed by Commissioner Haag and the Clerk—to help promote economic-development initiatives and town events.
The minutes indicate staff follow-up to coordinate with county and state contacts; no specific funding allocations or implementation timetable were recorded at the meeting.
