The Town of Natick Council on Aging (COA) Board Executive Subcommittee met Feb. 2, 2026 and finalized the agenda for the COA Board meeting on Feb. 9, and discussed several operational items including a planned presentation by staff from the Natick Police Department and interim staffing.
The Speakers Workgroup reported that Lt. Chad Howard and Detective Gregory Lanoue of the Natick Police Department are slated to speak to the COA Board; the subcommittee discussed whether to advertise their appearance by E‑Blast and Sal Pandolfo said he will coordinate the presentation in February. The report named the officers but did not provide a topic synopsis for the police presentation.
Members also received an update from Director Donna Tarutz that the COA budget request has been submitted to the Town but is not yet final until Town Meeting approval; the board requested access to view the submitted budget and Tarutz said she will investigate whether that is possible. Tarutz additionally stated she will be out indefinitely beginning Feb. 11 and that staff member Angela will cover her duties; Chair Saul Beaumont asked Jim Fitzgerald to add Angela to COA Board email distributions so she receives agenda materials and communications.
In routine business, Sal Pandolfo moved to accept the subcommittee minutes from Jan. 5, 2026 as presented; Jim Fitzgerald seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The subcommittee set its next meeting for March 5 at the same time and place (Conf Room 125 at 12:00 p.m.) and adjourned at 12:35 p.m.
The Feb. 2 minutes record actions on minutes approval and the adjournment motion; they do not document any formal votes on the governance amendments discussed during the meeting.
