Commissioner Ramos moved to amend the bylaws to add state-level elected officials as nonvoting, ex officio members; Mr. Gonzales seconded the motion. After a brief clarification on the scope (state vs. federal officials), the motion was amended to specify state representatives and was approved unanimously.
Board members said the change could be revisited if circumstances required further adjustment. The board directed staff to prepare an updated bylaws document reflecting the amendment.
