Board adopts policy package after heated debate; attempt to remove NJSIAA clause fails

Another board member proposed striking the NJSIAA clause (item 8) as optional language; that motion was brought to a roll-call vote and failed. The full package of second-reading policies was then taken to roll-call and was adopted, with some members voting No on individual policies and others abstaining. The board also discussed procedural flexibility included in proposed policy 0131 about abolishing policies and the conditions under which the board could suspend procedural requirements in an emergency.
