- Appointment: The board approved a resolution appointing Thomas Swingle to fill the assessor vacancy created by Ken Musso’s announced early retirement (last day April 3). Parks/Open Space & Cultural Arts staff explained the RFP process and clarified the contract covers the Adams County Fair grandstands and free stage only; the resolution passed unanimously (mover: Commissioner Henson; second: County Manager Dionne Schroeder).
- Executive session: The board voted to enter executive session under Colorado Revised Statute 24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to receive legal advice and instruct negotiators regarding a PDA with Altitude X. The motion passed by roll-call voice vote.
- Land-use continuance (Seltzer Heights, PLT2025-6): After extended discussion about nearby oil-and-gas wells and four partially drilled wells, the board continued the Seltzer Heights preliminary plat to April 7 to allow staff and the applicant to draft language that would tie construction milestones (options include final plat recordation, building permits, or certificates of occupancy) to resolution of the wells. Commissioner O’Dorisio moved; Commissioner Baca seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
