Heidelberg council adopts consent agenda, directs ordinance update; flags and snow removal noted

Mayor Lori Weldon called the Heidelberg City Council to order Oct. 7, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The council recorded attendance and recited the Pledge of Allegiance before moving to regular business.
On a motion by Councilmember Matt Graf, seconded by Councilmember Doug Kilian, the council adopted the consent agenda; the minutes record the vote as unanimous, "Aye’s- all. Opposed- none. Motion carries (5-0)." The consent agenda covered routine items provided to council members before the meeting.
Under old business the council instructed staff to update the city’s liquor license ordinance posted on the website and to coordinate that change with Eric (staff). Council also noted that the deadline to register for upcoming elections is handled through Le Sueur County; the minutes list the reminder but do not give a specific registration deadline.
In new business the council agreed to submit updates for the 2025 Le Sueur County Community & Visitors Guide; the minutes set Dec. 13, 2024, as the submission date. Members also noted that "Joe" is no longer removing snow at City Hall; the council said it will look for an alternative for snow removal services.
Administrator Tim von Neupert reported he called the American Legion about a replacement flag and that a 3-by-5 flag costs $35. The council listed claims on the agenda (details not specified in the minutes) and set its next regular meeting for Dec. 2, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
Councilmember Doug Kilian moved to adjourn; Councilmember Matt Graf seconded. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned.
