President Clinton Corlew declared the motion carried after a tally of six yeas and zero nays. Jeremy Conner then moved to approve the ASBR; Wheeler seconded and the board approved it 6-0. Conner moved a separate motion to approve the Southern Bank Depository Fixed Rate Option, seconded by Gregg Fowler; that motion also passed unanimously.
On a separate motion, Hollie Wheeler moved to set the Tax Rate Hearing for Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Education room; Jeremy Conner seconded and the motion carried 6-0. The board recorded several informational items, including a CSIP update, a summer projects update and upcoming dates: an Open House on Aug. 14, 2025 (5:30–7 p.m.) and the first day of school on Aug. 19, 2025.
