During public comment at the Sept. 29 Village of Larchmont Board meeting, Helen March identified herself as an attorney from a Manhattan law firm representing property owner Jules Salvecchio of 2126 Boston Post Road. March said she had written the board twice (April 7 and June 26) and received no response and that the board’s decision to set a public hearing for the Locals special‑permit renewal at 2128 Boston Post Road was not included on the meeting agenda.
"We came here tonight with the intention of asking this board to respond to two letters that I had written to this board, one on April 7 and one on June 26, acknowledgement of those letters. I did not receive a response to those letters," March said. She added that the applicants did not know the hearing had been scheduled until attending the meeting and asked for “an open and transparent process” to address the special‑permit issues; she said they will return with legal analysis at the public hearing.
The board had set the first public hearing to solicit feedback and noted more hearings may follow; the mayor asked for a motion to set the hearing and the motion passed. March’s comments link directly to the newly scheduled hearing and request that the board address the apparent lack of prior communication to the property owner’s representative.
