Larchmont board approves contracts, grants and fees; AKRF demo project authorized

Administrator Elon Katzin recommended a professional services agreement with Catasone Engineering and proposed a not‑to‑exceed amount of $30,000; the board moved and authorized the administrator to execute the agreement. The board also voted to authorize submission of the Justice Court Assistance Grant Program application, which this year will focus on records management and records cleanup for the court office.
Trustees adopted the fiscal year 2025–26 racket‑sports fees and a new combined year‑round permit that covers tennis, pickleball and paddle. Katzin said the posted fees were corrected earlier the same day and the corrected version would be published online.
Based on a Safe Routes to School presentation and subsequent discussion, the board authorized the administrator to execute a $3,000 proposal from AKRF for a Larchmont Avenue demonstration project to test bicycle‑lane changes and return with an analysis.
Other approved administrative measures included authorization for the Cove LLP agreement to use Flint Park Playhouse as a supervised social space for middle‑ and high‑school students beginning in January, and approval of bills totaling $587,333.34.
