Around 5:20 p.m., City Attorney Stephanie departed due to a prior commitment, and shortly thereafter Alderperson Mike Capstick left the meeting; the remaining members continued discussion of planning, budgeting priorities and operational updates.
On facilities and capital needs, the council flagged basement cleanup and pipe repairs, cleanup and potential uses for the former police station, and infrastructure items including street signs, lighting and sidewalks. Members emphasized the need for a strategic planning and budget process to identify and prioritize future capital improvements.
No formal actions or votes occurred during the session; staff will continue work on budgeting, scheduling and preparation of capital planning recommendations.
