Richmond council approves switch to Shred Nations for paper shredding services

Staff noted the new monthly cost of $99.60 is substantially lower than VRC's current rate of $200.31 and comparable to the city's prior Pro Shred pricing.
Councilor Ron Peterson moved to terminate VRC Companies and award shredding services to Shred Nations/Shred-It; Councilor Deanna Guy seconded the motion, and the council approved it 7-0. The minutes record no public comment or competing vendor objections during the discussion.
