Regional planning staff outlined the projects included in the grant package. "The projects are the continuation of the Lincoln Park Trail…into Fairgrounds Street and down Leader Street," said Ken Legeza of regional planning, adding downtown work would include a rep center renovation and an HVAC upgrade. Evelyn of regional planning said the specs will be finalized as the projects progress.
Committee members asked no substantive questions and approved sending the ordinance to council with a recommendation to approve. Clerk roll call recorded three affirmative votes (Rollins, Barr, T. Smith).
The committee’s action simply authorizes the city to move into specification and advertising phases; final contract awards and expenditures will be determined later if bids align with grant requirements and council approvals.
The item will appear on the full council agenda for formal consideration.
