City of Early approves consent agenda, liquor license and bills totaling $132,080.30; council declares March Problem Gambling Awareness Month

Guest speaker Dorinda Wehde of New Opportunities attended the meeting, and the council unanimously adopted a proclamation naming March Problem Gambling Awareness Month after a motion by Councilor Becky Blackman and a second by Councilor Christine Madden.
On building permits the council put Building Permit #836 on hold and approved Building Permit #837 after a motion from Councilor Tim Langner, seconded by Councilor Becky Blackman; the vote was unanimous.
The clerk reported the bills and receipts approved in the consent agenda. Notable items recorded in the vendor list included a law-enforcement contract with the Sac County Sheriff’s Office for $7,967.12; water testing charges of $1,608.25 and Hach chemicals of $1,668.13; a final pay application to Empire Excavating of $29,554.89.
