Early City Council approves two damage-claim payments totaling $752.98

At a special meeting on Nov. 12, the Early City Council approved two damage-claim payments tied to the closeout of Drainage District No. 59.
Councilor Tim Langner moved and Councilor Brandon Scadden seconded a motion to approve a $170 damage claim presented by E. Pickhinke to be paid at district cost; the motion passed on a roll call vote with Councilors Scadden, Pickhinke, Madden, Blackman and Langner voting aye. Later, Councilor Brian Pickhinke moved and Councilor Scadden seconded approval of a $582.98 damage claim submitted by K. Christensen, with the payment to be withheld from the contractor's retainage; that motion also passed on a unanimous roll call vote.
The council noted that S. Carlyle had submitted damage claims via email but had not yet provided receipts. The council directed the Deputy Clerk to contact Carlyle and obtain receipts within two weeks so those costs can be substantiated before payment decisions are finalized. The meeting was adjourned at 7:39 PM following a motion by Councilor Pickhinke and a second from Councilor Madden.
