The Early City Council on Nov. 5 approved its consent agenda, including agenda, minutes, bills for payment and a library board vacancy, and approved two building-permit items during the session.
Mayor William Cougill called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; the minutes record Councilors Brandon Scadden, Christine Madden, Tim Langner, Brian Pickhinke and Becky Blackman as present. Councilor Brian Pickhinke moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilor Christine Madden seconded and the motion passed on a show of hands with all five councilors voting aye.
During the meeting a member of the public introduced herself and outlined future plans for newly acquired property; no formal action followed that introduction. The council then approved building permit #835 for J. Bendixen after a motion by Councilor Brandon Scadden and second by Councilor Brian Pickhinke. Councilor Pickhinke moved and Councilor Madden seconded approval of an extension to building permit #818 (Summit Location); that motion also passed on a unanimous show of hands.
The council was also informed of a rezoning inquiry for the property at 223 N. Main Street; the minutes state that the Planning and Zoning Commission will need to meet in person to consider the request, and no hearing date was recorded in the meeting transcript.
