The Logan County Planning Commission voted July 6 to hold a special meeting with Zoning Advisor Keith Marvin on Aug. 3, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. to begin review of a first draft of the county's new comprehensive plan and accompanying zoning regulations.
Chairman Rich Burnside moved to schedule the special meeting; Board Member Max Lovitt seconded. The motion carried with Burnside, Lovitt, James Main and Vic Florea voting yes; no members voted against the motion and Jay Peterson was absent.
The minutes note that Keith Marvin was unable to attend the July 6 meeting but provided Zoning Administrator Jennifer Nicholson with the first draft of the comprehensive plan and zoning regulations for the commission to begin inspecting. The special meeting is intended as the start of a formal review process; the minutes do not record detailed content from the draft.
Next steps listed in the minutes include the special meeting on Aug. 3 at 1:15 p.m.; staff and the zoning advisor are expected to lead review at that session. The commission set its next regular quarterly meeting for Oct. 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
