Woodland Township adopts $522,712 fire truck purchase, OKs $200,000 for building repairs and multiple license renewals

The Woodland Township Committee on June 25 adopted two ordinances and approved a slate of consent resolutions, unanimously among members present.
Committeewoman Mull moved and Deputy Mayor Herndon seconded adoption of Ordinance 2025-7, authorizing acquisition of a replacement fire truck and appropriating $522,712.00 for the purchase. The Committee opened the ordinance for public comment, received none, closed comment and adopted the ordinance with Mayor DeGroff recorded as absent and both Mull and Herndon voting yes.
On the same motion pattern, the Committee adopted Ordinance 2025-8, which provides $200,000 for repairs to township buildings. That ordinance likewise drew no public comment and passed with DeGroff absent, Mull and Herndon voting yes.
The Committee approved consent agenda Resolutions 2025-58 through 2025-63 on a single motion. The resolutions included approval of liquor license renewals for Neeshi, Bung’s and Pine Barrens Capital; approval of a raffle license for the Woodland Ladies Auxiliary; adoption of 2025 salaries; and authorization to submit a grant application for Lebanon Lakes, Phase 4. The motion was made by Committeewoman Mull and seconded by Deputy Mayor Herndon, and carried with DeGroff absent and Mull and Herndon voting yes.
The meeting record presents two different figures for bills and claims: a line showing $393,414.20 and a subsequent motion record approving bills and claims “in the amount of $463,438.09.” The motion to approve bills and claims was moved by Committeewoman Mull and seconded by Deputy Mayor Herndon; the vote recorded DeGroff absent, Herndon yes, Mull yes. The minutes as adopted reflect the approved amount of $463,438.09.
Other routine business: the Committee waived the application fee and approved an application from the Woodland Ladies Auxiliary for a July 4–7 coin-toss event. The Tax Collector reported May collections of $843,110.06, and the Clerk reported May miscellaneous collections of $22,837.53, an OPRA report for May, and scheduled the next regular meeting for July 23, 2025. No members of the public spoke during the public-comment portions of the meeting.
