The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors on July 6 handled routine business items, unanimously approving the day’s claims and the payroll register for the period ending June 27, 2026, and accepting the Auditor’s Quarterly Report of Fees and the Sheriff’s Monthly Report of Fees.
Supervisor Chris Watts moved to approve the claims and the payroll register; Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp seconded and the motions passed unanimously. The minutes record that the board also approved the Auditor’s and Sheriff’s fee reports on a unanimous vote.
The board appointed Mark Mathre to the Cerro Gordo County Board of Adjustment after a motion from Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp and a second from Supervisor Chris Watts; the motion passed unanimously.
On environmental health matters, the board approved reports from the Environmental Health Service Manager updating manure management plans for the Mike Kuhlemeier West Site (site #65997) and Neal Hog Farms LLC (site #69472) and directed staff to forward those reports to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources; Supervisor Chris Watts moved the action, Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp seconded, and the vote was unanimous.
