Finance Manager Adam Jansz presented the city’s fiscal year 2025–26 third‑quarter budget report and proposed adjustments.
Jansz outlined key figures and adjustments: an opening/starting general fund balance reported as about $10,283,000; projected operating revenue after adjustments near $21,035,400 and expenditures in the $21 million range; and a projected ending general fund balance of approximately $9.5 million after proposed transfers and adjustments. He recommended allocating another $400,000 toward the city’s pension liability trust and modest increases for planning contractual services and stormwater (MS4) discharge permit costs.
Council asked clarifying questions about revenue timing, insurance premium increases and potential future police service costs. Jansz noted interest income remains positive due to relatively high market rates and that police service cost estimates were trending modestly upward but near original estimates.
Council adopted resolution 2026‑18 (third‑quarter adjustments) by a recorded voice vote; the motion carried 5–0.
