Myers said he received an email from a staff member and alleged that notes were added later to the permit record; he stated he has photographs, emails and other documents and that he will bring witnesses to support his claims. "I've got enough evidence with you on everything," Myers said. He also asked for a $1,200 refund and for penalties to be removed related to the project.
City staff responded on the record. At one point a staff speaker said a staff characterization was "incorrect" in response to Myers' claim about doctored notes. The exchange did not resolve the dispute in the meeting; board members recommended pursuing formal channels including court or administrative remedies where appropriate and encouraged Myers to provide documentation.
Other public comment included questions from Paul Garrett about asphalting and sewer capacity for development on Molly Martin Road and animal control complaints; police and staff noted procedures for reporting incidents and that some enforcement falls to county authorities when incidents occur outside city jurisdiction.
