Council approves $34,250 electrical installation for three lift-station control panels

The Ashland Board approved Resolution 2026-6 to authorize electrical installation services for three lift-station control panels by Kaiser Electric of Central Missouri for $34,250, the low bid on the staff report.
Staff said the panels for the Clark, Salinda and Justin lift stations had been fabricated and delivered and that the quoted work includes removal of old control panels, new disconnects and generator plugs. The low proposal from Kaiser Electric was $34,250; an alternate bid cited in the packet was about $60,900.
“I recommend approval of the low proposal as quoted,” the public works director said, adding that Kaiser Electric is well regarded and used by MoDOT in Central Missouri.
Council members moved, seconded and approved the resolution on a voice vote. Staff said the panels are in stock and ready for installation when scheduling and weather permit.
Next step: staff will authorize Kaiser Electric to schedule the installation work and report completion back to the council.
