The agreements were recommended to the board as memorandums of understanding (MOUs) outlining cooperative after‑school programming. The board moved, seconded and passed both items by roll call; the chair said staff had worked to ensure the MOUs comply with CDE standards.
A committee member said, “I’m glad to see the thorough work that went into the MoU going to get better every year,” expressing support for continuing program improvements. The superintendent added, “I think the opportunity to bring community members in to support the expansion of the programming and make it more available to our families is really important,” and highlighted recruiting local volunteers to help educate students after school.
Board members conducted a roll call vote on both motions; the trustees recorded their votes in support and each motion passed. After the votes the chair thanked staff for their work and the meeting adjourned at 3:29 p.m.
No members of the public spoke during the public comment period; the chair had opened the meeting noting public comments were limited to three minutes and required a submitted speaker card prior to the meeting.
