The Atkinson Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee on Feb. 26 approved the Jan. 15, 2026 meeting minutes and agreed to begin the process to fill two open committee seats while retaining a seven-member body.
Chair Treg Ogborn recorded the approval of the minutes “as submitted” and was tasked to coordinate with John Apple to start the appointment process for the two vacancies. The committee noted two seats are open and that the seven-member composition will be maintained in line with town policy.
Co-Chair Karen Moss, Chair Treg Ogborn and committee member Karen McFadden were assigned department representative responsibilities for the coming year: Ogborn for the Police Department, Moss for Recreation, Library and AHS, and McFadden for Fire. The minutes state that assignments for the remaining areas will be decided at the next meeting.
The committee recommended proposing a late-October target for delivery of the 2027 Capital Improvement Program; Karen McFadden will provide the first draft of the CIP schedule. Discussion of which improvement areas to prioritize was postponed to the March 26, 2026 meeting.
The committee’s next meeting is scheduled for March 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall. The meeting record was submitted by Karen McFadden on Feb. 27, 2026.
