Alex Scheldren, an animal control specialist with the Seaside Police Department, invited residents to National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the City Hall lawn at 440 Harcourt Avenue. The event will feature a "Touch A Truck" opportunity for children and families to explore emergency, construction and utility vehicles, meet drivers and operators, and learn about the vehicles that serve the community. Organizers said there will also be family-friendly entertainment, community resources and opportunities to meet local officers. The invitation emphasized community connection and public-safety resources and asked residents to bring family and neighbors.
