The Englewood Planning and Zoning Commission conducted officer elections March 17 and re-elected Chair Martinez to serve one more year and selected Commissioner Eric Montiel as vice chair.
The commission reviewed term limits — officers may serve two consecutive years — and several commissioners said they were willing to continue serving. A motion to retain Chair Martinez for another year was made and passed by voice vote. Commissioners then nominated and elected Eric Montiel as vice chair by voice vote.
The chair and vice chair elections were handled separately and passed without recorded opposition or roll-call tallies in the meeting transcript. The commission moved on to remaining agenda items after seating its officers.
