The Granite County Commission approved an agreement with TCS Northwest to proceed with the courthouse roof project after TCS and ACS representatives reviewed project timing, ADA parking work and elevator battery-backup options.
Terry Moreland of ACS explained the ADA parking pour and that Otis reduced pricing for the elevator battery-backup, which the county accepted; contractors said they expect to pour concrete and substantially complete ADA parking work by the end of next week. The elevator vendor and county staff discussed diagnostic tools, lead times and options for alternate local service providers (for which the county would need to purchase a diagnostic tool to allow non-Otis firms to service proprietary components).
Commissioner discussion focused on lead times for windows, plumbing and asbestos abatement; the board approved moving forward with the roof contract and authorized electronic signature. Commissioners asked the project superintendent and administration to coordinate schedules and provide contact information for county staff.
