Gary Martin, who identified himself as working with the hauling operation, told commissioners the company takes safety seriously, has invested in communications equipment and is willing to provide handheld VHF radios to local residents, to install cameras on trucks, and to explore corner mirrors or additional signage. "I'm happy to give them radios; I'll install it," Martin said, and offered to provide a copy of the trucks' insurance declarations for county files.
Commissioners directed staff to draft a letter requesting proof of insurance from the contractor, to collect photographic evidence, and to place the item on the agenda next week for a formal follow-up. No formal enforcement action was taken at the meeting; the board sought documentation first and said it would consider options after review.
