A staff presenter reviewed FY2026 federal grant budget amendments at the July 17 study session, describing additional revenues for Title I and Title IV and reallocations for other federal grants.
The presenter told the board that Title I and Title IV items represent added revenues and associated appropriations, while Title IX, Perkins and IDEA grants are reallocations of existing funds. "These are just amendments for our, grants for the FY '26 fiscal year," the presenter said. Staff also noted one late change added for the meeting: APEN funding to support some summer learning activities.
Board members did not pose substantive questions about the amendments during the presentation. The transcript records the presentation and the addition of the APEN item; it does not include a formal vote on the amendments during this study session.
