Brimfield zoning staff announces plaza occupancies, parking‑lot work and county small‑business awards

At the June 18 meeting of the Brimfield Township Board of Zoning Appeals, Zoning Secretary Kayla Nealon updated members on several ongoing local projects and department recognitions.
Nealon said two new occupancies are planned for the plaza behind Town Hall: a Wing Warehouse location and a Hallmark Ornaments outlet. She said the plaza roof is under repair and the entire parking lot will be redone beginning June 16. Nealon added that Wing Warehouse plans an outdoor patio and large garage‑style doors, and the plaza owner is pursuing a coffee shop tenant for one of the empty units.
Nealon also reported that the Zoning/Economic Development Department received four county small‑business awards linked to job growth for projects in the community: Wohlwend Engineering (5 jobs), Villas at Wyles Farm (4 jobs), GDI (17 jobs) and Unified (39 jobs).
The board noted the updates; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025, and the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
