The Inglewood Unified School District board moved through the consent agenda on Feb. 19, approving human resources items (9A1'A12), educational services items (9B1'B20), business services items (9C1'C14) and Measure GG/facilities items (9D1'D6) as listed on the agenda.
Board President Margaret Turner Evans called for questions; none were raised on the grouped motions and each set was approved. The board specifically noted item 9A10, a classified position layoff authorization, in the context of broader budget balancing and right-sizing discussions. President Evans characterized staff reductions as eliminating positions rather than people and highlighted the district's early retirement incentive as a mitigation strategy.
For item 9E1 the board cast its CSBA (California School Boards Association) delegate assembly ballot for five candidates for Region 24. The board approved the Jan. 15 minutes as well.
No roll-call vote tallies were read aloud in the record; the clerk recorded the agenda items as approved without further amendment.
